YOUTH MINISTRY ACTIVITIES

Throughout the year our youth ministry is involved in numerous activities of many types such as:

• Wednesday night religious education classes
• Retreats (Confirmation retreats as well as 6-12th grade retreats - a wide variety for the 9-10th grade to choose from: Hispanic Spirituality, Dive-In, Black Gospel Mass, Hmong New Year, "Move with a Message" morning of reflection... and all have a variety of prayer forms)
• Dive-In Youth Conference
• Youth Jam
• Sheltered Reality
• Connections (many activities including making no-sew fleece blankets for chemotherapy patients - all are planned and led by the youth)
• Faith FACTOR
• Chicago Service Trip
• Service Day at Emergency Shelter and Salvation Army
• Unity Night
• Catholic Music Fest
• "Fun in the Son" trips (Great America, Noah's Ark, Timber Rattler Game, Milwaukee Zoo...)
• Appalachian Outreach
• Grill-out
• Movie Nights
• Octoberfest (Youth Ministry Booth)
• Frightfest
• Youth sharing their witness on younger grade-level retreats
• Service Hours
• Service Weeks (Faith FACTOR, Chicago...)
• Service Days )Emergency Shelter, Salvation Army)
• 6-8th grades do service in religious ed class (chili for emergency shelter)
• High school leaders for retreats and middle school events
• Youth representatives on parish board
• Youth Advisory Committee
• Youth active in regular weekend liturgies in a variety of aspects
• Reconciliation Service is a part of the program
• Closing liturgy (active in music/lectoring/hospitality...)
• Wednesday night classes - all incorporate Sunday scripture readings and various forms of prayer
